These pictures of my family and some of our friends were started when I was contemplating the arrival of my first child and the change in our lives when we take on the responsibility of parenthood. I was influenced in this work by the pictures of Elliot Erwitt and Emmett Gowin. At the time, the family was not the focus for serious photographic work it became towards the end of eighties.
