Gradient Light'. He is a regular contributor to `The British Journal of

Exploring Black & White Printing Methods: Max Ferguson
Max Ferguson has had a varied career both as a printer and
a photographer. In 1985 he set up a Fine Art photographic
printing business before moving to Joe's Basement. He has taught fine
art printing on a regular basis and currently lectures on
nation-wide tours of colleges and road-shows for Ilford. In this workshop he
will demonstrate his extensive printing skills utilising the paper
grades to maximum effect by split grading. Max is also inviting
participants to bring their own black and white negatives (35 mm) which he
will be pleased to interpret for them. He will also conduct
hands-on sessions in which he will assist participants with their printing
and will show how to solarise their prints.
